Alt Alt text

Alt text, or "alternative text," is a written description added to images on websites or digital content to describe what the image shows. It's primarily used to improve accessibility for people with visual impairments, as screen readers can read the alt text aloud. Alt text also helps search engines understand the image content, which can improve search ranking and visibility.

Should a vibe coder be allowed to charge a premium for their services as compared to a high skilled software engineer?

Transcript

Show people sometimes ask if a vibe coder should be allowed to charge a premium price for their services as compared to an actual soft engineer with high-level skills well here's the thing about that first of all you can't really stop anyone from charging what they want for their services based on just the skill alone I think what's valuable is the ability to solve business problems more than just to have programming skills because here's a thing if for example a vibe coder who is also an excellent business strategist can help accompany 10 X it's revenue then sure they can justify charging a premium for their services even though they don't really have actual coding skills but I think what people sometimes tend to often believe is that just cause you have a programming skill it automatically makes it high value which used to be true at some point but I think in the recent times as AI is picking up that fact will more and more start to go down in value

I think vibe coding is just a means to an end. As you said, if you can solve a problem, the code delivery becomes irrelevant.

Nothing wrong with charging more if you can solve a problem well. Most of the code in big tech is ai-generated anyway. Vibe coding is fully acceptable.
