At its core, Centrrl is simply a voice-first social network that is built for real conversations and authentic public discourse.

People often question me about what central really is and is they trying to replace any of the legacy social media platforms and the answer is no but there is a very specific problem we're trying to solve with central and it's a problem that's often overlooked by the big social media platforms that we currently have and that problem is communication so I think I think what's happened is that the big social media networks I've become increasingly impressive at connecting people at scale and connecting the content with the people at scale but somewhere along the way I do believe that the actual essence of the connection which is the conversation God lost somewhere and most online discussions today are generally touch base and you know what it is while text works perfectly fine it regularly strips the context right out of the conversation so what I mean is that when you read a block of text you don't really feel the tone of the author or the intent gets misread a lot of the times and a genuine thought often becomes you know a meaningless block of text by the time it reaches several people and I personally believe that as a culture we're really missing that true depth and understanding of each other's respective which sort of leads to chaos in a lot of situations so we had central addressing that problem with voice so what we are is really not a voice room chat platform or audio platform we're just a simple social network that provides authentic voice post that allows people to get to the point and give listeners the full context of what they're actually saying and there's something really beautiful happens when people express themselves in their own voice is that the identity of the speaker gets preserved and the true tone that is really essential for communication comes out when you say something in your own voice and that's really what we're trying to do well that's really what we're trying to achieve is to break that gap that we believe has been broken over the years as social media has evolved and that gap is the communication gap which is what we're trying to fill so that is what is all about we're not trying to replace anybody we're not Tryna you know compete with the big tech we're just trying to bring value back to the social landscape that we believe God lost as we evolved so there is something that resonates with you I welcome you to join the platform and buy out the voice teacher see how you feel about it and if you have any feedback comment suggestions and recommendations please feel free to reach out reach out to us by DM or just drop your thoughts in the post feed and we're happy to we're happy to read what I have to say
